What is Inpulse?
Inpulse is a patented, fully analog meditation device that uses real-time acoustic biofeedback to make meditation easier. By amplifying your breath (and heartbeat) into clear sound, it gives your body an anchor so the nervous system settles first - and the mind follows.
Is Inpulse a biofeedback meditation device?
Yes. Inpulse turns your breath and heartbeat into real-time amplified sound, which acts as biofeedback during meditation. That feedback makes it easier to return to the breath and train attention without an app.
Is Inpulse a breathing device for meditation?
Yes. Inpulse is a breathing-based meditation device that helps you focus by amplifying the sound of your breath and heartbeat. This real-time feedback supports calm, focus, and awareness without apps or guided instruction.
How does Inpulse work?
Inpulse works by amplifying the natural sound of your breath and heartbeat in real time - without any digital processing or recordings.
It uses the same core acoustic technology found in a stethoscope: hollow tubes that carry internal body sounds directly to your ears. As you breathe, you hear it. As your heart beats, you hear that too.
This simple, real-time feedback helps you stay focused and present - without needing an app, screen, or voice to guide you.
That’s why it helps most when meditation feels hard or your body feels restless. By providing a direct link to your internal rhythm, Inpulse helps you down-regulate and settle into a state of deep recovery or focus - instantly.
How does Inpulse help with ADHD and overactive minds?
Inpulse is a powerful meditation breathing device for focus. It provides a physical anchor for those with ADHD, making it easier to return to the breath when the mind wanders.
Does it help with Vagus Nerve stimulation?
By guiding you into slow, audible deep breathing, Inpulse acts as a natural vagus nerve breathing aid, helping to flip your body from 'fight or flight' into a state of deep recovery.
Is this a screen-free meditation tool?
Yes. Inpulse is a 100% analog wellness tool. No apps, no batteries, and no screens. It’s the perfect non-digital biofeedback device for those experiencing digital fatigue.
Can Inpulse help with stress and anxiety?
Yes, Inpulse is designed to help reduce stress and anxiety by promoting mindful breathing and self-awareness. Listening to your breath and heartbeat can create a calming effect, helping you manage stress more effectively.
I don't know how to meditate, is Inpulse suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Inpulse is built for all experience levels—even if you’ve never meditated before.
There’s no technique to learn. The device gently brings your attention to your breath and heartbeat, so your body leads and your mind naturally follows.
Whether you’re just starting or looking to deepen your practice, Inpulse meets you where you are—and brings you inward.
How does Inpulse compare to simply using earplugs?
Earplugs reduce distraction. Inpulse creates connection.
In the early stages of developing Inpulse, we tested earplugs as a baseline—and the difference was immediate. With earplugs, your breath becomes slightly more noticeable, but the sound is dull and distant—more like background noise than something you can truly follow.
Inpulse is an entirely different experience.
It amplifies, not just quiets. Your breath becomes vivid—clear, textured, and alive in your awareness.
It reveals what’s hidden. You don’t just sense your heartbeat—you hear it, softly pulsing in real-time.
It draws you in. Inpulse doesn't just block the outside world—it opens a direct path inward, toward stillness and presence.
This isn’t passive isolation. It’s immersive inner listening and self exploration — the foundation of real meditation..
Can’t I just use a standard medical stethoscope?
You certainly can, but you likely won’t want to for long. Medical stethoscopes are designed for clinical "spot checks," not extended periods of stillness.
Acoustic Tuning: Medical stethoscopes prioritize the low-frequency "thump" of the heart (20-150 HZ). While this is great for doctors, that heavy bass can be distracting during meditation. Inpulse is acoustically tuned for the higher-frequency range of the breath (100–1000 HZ). This reveals the rich, crisp "whoosh" of your breathing - creating a vivid, immersive soundscape that is much easier and more relaxing for the mind to anchor to.
Hands-Free Design: A stethoscope requires you to hold a heavy metal chest piece against your throat, which creates tension in your arm and shoulder. Inpulse uses a lightweight magnetic collar and an adjustable strap, allowing your body to be completely relaxed.
Zero "Ear Clamp" Pressure: Clinical stethoscopes use high-tension spring tubes that "clamp" onto your ears for short check-ups; they become painful after just a few minutes. Inpulse is feather-light and uses tension-free, comfortable ear tips designed for long, deep sessions.
Can I use Inpulse with my existing meditation practice?
Absolutely! Inpulse can be seamlessly integrated into your current meditation practice. The amplified sounds of your breath will provide an additional sensory anchor, enhancing your focus and presence.
How do I choose my Inpulse size?
Choosing your size is simple. While our textile collar is universally adjustable to fit neck sizes between 12 and 17 inches, the difference between sizes is the initial length of the acoustic tubes:
- Small: Best for shorter individuals or those with a shorter neck/smaller head (5.5" tube length).
- Medium (Standard): Ideal for most people of average height and build. This is the best choice if you are unsure (6" tube length).
- Large (Pro/Tall): Recommended for taller individuals and some men to ensure placement below the Adam's Apple (7" tube length).
Note on Custom Fit: All sizes include a built-in adjustment that allows you to extend the tube length by approximately 1 inch for a perfect fit.
Need a Very Small or Very Large size?
We can accommodate builds outside our standard range with custom-built tube lengths. Contact us to discuss a custom build tailored to your specific measurements.
How do I adjust the tube length?
Each Inpulse includes a built-in adjustment feature for a precise fit. The soft tubing connects to the main chamber through an elbow connector.
To lengthen: gently pull/peel back the tube from the elbow and re-seat it to extend by about 1 inch.
To shorten: push the connector in until it sits flush again. You can use a small amount of soapy water or lubricant if needed to help the tube slide more easily.
This adjustment lets you position the device so the main chamber rests just below your chin or Adam’s apple, wherever feels most natural for your breath and posture.

I keep falling asleep while I use Inpulse, what can I do?
Falling asleep during your Inpulse session might indicate that your body needs more rest. However, it also shows you’re making great progress in learning to withdraw attention from your thoughts. Here are a few tips to help you stay alert while meditating:
- Sit Upright: Ensure you’re in a comfortable yet upright position. Use a cushion or pillow for support, but sit up straight to remain alert while still being relaxed.
- Focus on Your Breath: Concentrate intently on the sound of your breath. Observe it keenly as if you were watching someone else breathe, without trying to influence it.
- Take a Nap: If you still feel drowsy, consider taking a short nap. You’ll likely feel rejuvenated and more alert for your next session.
